Ricardo's in Odeon - Ricardo van Ede - Benewed

New restaurant: Ricardo’s in Odeon

Hurray! After 3 years of silence, the Odeon‘s basement restaurant has reopened on August 24, under the name Ricardo’s in Odeon. Why? Because they hired the well known enfant terrible (and culinary genius) Ricardo van Ede to become head chef of the restaurant.

First, they renovated the whole interior into a beefed up, robust setting with lots of  brick walls, coarse wooden tables and leather chairs, to match the appearance of the chef. Thank god the beautiful, characteristic elements of the building are stills kept in the new surroundings. The result is a very rough, modern and peaceful ambience, where you’ll feel at home quit fast.

Second, they changed the dining menu into a very easy concept. In fact, there is no actual menu anymore. You can choose between a three, five or seven course-menu and that’s about it. Ricardo will cook from farm to table, so the dishes will be created per day, inspired by the season and the daily delivery.

Check out the new interior and some freakin’ delicious plates from the opening night:
